LAのGlendaleに拠点を構えるage of learning社のメインプロダクト「ABCmouse」について。
子どもたちにfoundation skills、つまり基礎的な言語、算数、理科、アートなどを伝えるためのハイクオリティなデジタル教材を提供している。

感想

自分として参考になったのは、チームと環境。
国内/国外から教育担当、シナリオ制作、アニメーター、エンジニア…など様々なスペシャリティを持ったチームで構成されており、age of learningで働くために居住する人もいるという中で、glendaleという街として素敵な環境であるエリアをオフィスに選んでいる、とのこと。

このような素晴らしいプロダクトを作り上げるには、限られたエリアのみから採用するのではなく、広く可能性を持つことができるように門戸を広げる事が大事なのかな、と思いました。

Impressions

I’ve gotten to know more about the team and the environment from the CEO.
The CEO said that he chose Glendale because it is a great area to live in, and therefore, some people moved to Glendale to work at “Age of Learning”.
They could hire and create a great diverse team. The team includes people from the US and overseas, and from a wide range of professional backgrounds such as educators, storytellers, animators, engineers, and so on.

To build great products such as ABCmouse, I felt it’s important to have possibilities to hire from not limited areas, but unlimited.
