コロナの影響もあってedtech界隈が盛り上がっています。
特に有名なインドのバイジュースについてまとめたメモ的な記事です。
なんと530億円調達…

概要:Byju’s（バイジュース）

・Byju’sはeラーニングサービス。
・主な対象はK12（5歳から12歳まで）
＊K12 = アメリカをはじめカナダなどの英語圏を中心に、幼稚園1年と12年間の初等・中等教育を含めた13年間の教育期間を表す
・取り扱い教科は数学、物理、化学、生物、などなど
・約530億円を調達、アプリ登録者6400万人超、有料購読者420万人超
・日本からアプリのDownloadできるが、日本在住のブログ筆者はSMS認証が通らずサービスを触れていない．．．（対症療法ご存知の方是非教えて下さい）

・問題への解答を、まるでゲームを進めていくかのようなUserInterfaceで提供している

主な仕組み3：パーソナライズドされた学習コース

・正誤の情報などにより、生徒によって学習コースが自動で変更されるようになっている
・おそらく、理解度が浅い生徒には、似たような問題を数回出すような仕組みになっているのであろう
・しかし、どのようなコースをたどっても等しく修了できる

子供+両親にサービスの説明を自宅で無料で行うサービスあり

・子供の教育、教材に何を用いるかはとても重要なので、ホームカウンセリングは重要なのかもしれない
・5〜12歳という長いLife Time Valueの可能性があるからこそ、かけることができるコストなのかもしれない

感想

システムもすごいけど、
それよりもコンテンツの質は素晴らしいとしか言いようがない。
旧来の教科書よりバイジュースのアプリの方が楽しく勉強してもらえるから、身につきそうですよね。

しかし、5〜12歳、8年分の教材を作るのも大変極まりなかっただろうな…
教材制作チーム、どうなってるんだろうか。非常に興味あるところ。

学校教育はいずれこのように教材はオンラインで。
コーチングや具体的な個別指導は学校の先生が。
teachingとcoachingの分離が進んでいくのではないだろうか？と思いました。

Impressions

It is a great system.
Furthermore, the contents are amazing.
They could disrupt the current methods of delivering content.

I guess that they have used huge resources to make content for ages 5-12.
I wanna know more about the content development team.

In the future, I think it would be “Content is online through the app and the support is offline by the teachers.”
Teaching and Coaching would become separate.
